Rent Control

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 22 July 2011 This query is : Resolved
I have a question about the rent control act.
I'm living in Delhi in a rented residence since 1975.Now the Land lord wants me to vacate the premises.Till now my rent was in protection of the Rent act but now it is above 3500.As we are senior citizens do we have protection under the act?
Can i get any protection under any act?
Thank you.

landlord can vacate you from the premises if you the landlord needs premises for his personal use . in case landlord has alternative accomodation and does not require your residential premises for his personal use he cannot evict you .
