In one hospital report was received that an employee had asked illegal money from patient.On the basis of report he was suspended pending enquiry.On priliminary enquiry no credible evidence was found.The suspension was waived.Can the employee file complaint of defamation.Does the internal memos in employment amount to defamation?

No. This is part and parcle of the service conditions so employee cannot file defamation suit as desired in the given facts.

If you have taken lucky dip and have come out safe as On priliminary enquiry no credible evidence was found, then keep cool.
As such action was with in right of your master of whom you are servant for which no defamation cause arises.
