Bank collect charges for attestion of documents

I am a small business man and runs a properitory concern with a current account in my firms name with a nationalize Bank
Can the bank charge me for the documents attested by the branch manager
Please advise .

for its customers bank generally does attestaion free of cost .

I have never heard any bank charging fees for attesting signature of a customer.

No. The act and conduct of the manager is illegal.

If charge for it then send complaint to higher authority of the bank with full details

Thanks for the advise and as opined by Shri Ajay Sethi I told the same thing to the Bank manager to which he replied that the attestation is done by them only for their customers , whereas the fact is such attestations are required to be done of the rank of GAZETTED OFFICERS and Bank managers are and it should be done for one and all among general public
