Whether delhi high court has the jurisdiction for granting anticipatory bail u/s 498-a?

Sir,
If FIR is lodged against the groom in Bihar u/s 498-A by his married wife and the Groom is the permanent resident of Delhi and his place of work is also delhi and all of his family members are residing in Delhi
Can Groom or his family members can approach to Delhi High Court for providing anticipatory bail or stay on his arrest?

No. high court at Delhi has no jurisdiction to grant AB.You have to apply the same from the Patna High Court.

Dear Raman,
Yes, Indeed - there are various judgments of the Delhi High Court that say that the court of place where arrest is apprehended - the court may grant full fledged anticipatory bail, you can go to the High Court. However in practice limited relief is granted so as to enable you to approach Bihar Court for complete relief.
