Gambling

Guest (Querist) 02 August 2012 This query is : Resolved
One of my close friend do gambling.
Some times when he wins spend all his money in luxuries.

And

Whenever he lose he sell out house articles, borrow from friends, relatives etc.

His parents are suffering a lot. Many times his parents has given the money to creditors in lakhs.

Now again he lost huge amount so the creditors are asking the money. Creditors has taken his sign on blank stamp papers for security of their money.

He don't have single penny on his name.
Now we friends, his relatives and parents don't want to help him because he did not learn anything from previous mistakes.

My questions are:
1)Can creditors ask money from his parents? there is no signature of parents on security or stamp papers.
2)Can they ask money from him if he show himself as bankurpt?
3)If part 2 answer is yes what the process of declaring him bankurpt.
4)Is there any chance that his creditors can take any legal action against him? What can be those actions?
5)Is there any way that this type of person improve and don't go for gambling legelly or by couselling.
6)What his parents to should to save their hard earn money for their old age?

Regards

parents should disown the son . issue public notice in newspapers that they have disowned the son on account of his gambling activities .

parents should also make a will wherein they should disinherit him completely .

the son should contact a local lawyer and delcare him self insolvent

no . it is not in interests of parents to have a gambler son staying with them after they have disowned him

one thing more, parents are not legally obliged to discharge the debts created by their issues, may be moral or immoral,as here it is.

This is too much to ask?
"Can He stay with some relatives or friends is there any harm for them?"
answer: YES ,HE CAN.

"Can creditors do something wrong last time the creditors did FIR and his friends and parents gave the money?"

answer:IT WAS UNDESIRED HORROR AND SHOULD NOT BE REPEATED.
