In a matter relating to demolition of an illegal and unauthorized construction the party got a status quo on a crp filed by them against the orders of the 3rd Addl. Chief judge. Its almost 3 years and the case has not come Up for hearing, Me being the first Complaint and as the crp is between the party and the corporation; can I do anything to get the unauthorized structure to be demolished. Has the status quo has no time limit?

You should become party to the pending case if you have substantial interest in the case and thereafter you can very well try for speedy hearings.

The matter from high court cannot be expected to be decided as per your whims and wishes. It takes its own time.

There is no time limit. If you are added as party then apply before the court for expeditious hearing.

Status-quo is not an abnormal order desiring to go for SLP and if SLP also takes more time then where shall you go?
