Feuding neighbors

We are in a fix. We are ground floor tenant. Our neighbor has fixed compressor machine of her split a/c opposite our rear emergency exit which has virtually blocked our exit. She is moneyed, seems politically, socially powerful and brushes us aside as scum of the earth. Local police are of no help for obvious reason. What is the remedy available to us. Thanks

Complain to the landlord, if possible, with suggestion of alternate site for installation of the compressor.

The given obstruction is a public nuisance. File a complaint/petition with SDM under section 133 of criminal procedure code against that neighbour.

visited SDM's office and local police station. They say no case is made out under section 133 of Cr.PC. Landlord is happy to not help. He wants us out so he can earn higher rent. Is there really no remedy. Rule of law does not apply to high and mighty.
