Time period to be mentioned in the notice for payment or performance

What time period we should mention in our notice for compliance by the other party (i.e. noticee) in following cases :
1) Notice for recovery of outstanding amount (How much time we should mention in the notice for making payment by noticee)
2) Specific performance of contract (How much time we should mention in the notice for specific performance by noticee).
Please guide me in the above matter.

15 days should suffice as notice period

There is no fixed time limit, we can determine it as per our wish. However, generally a reasonable period considering situation is given.

Agreed with expert. However, 15 days after receipt of notice is sufficient.

No fixed time is mentioned anywhere in such type of cases. The urgency is to be considered as per facts of the matter in dispute.
