Hi All, Thanks in advance.
I brought reliance data card in Pune then
I realized the speed of the net was very bad and complaint to them on multiple times and with multiple follow-ups. Though I used for this card apprx for 10 months and paid the bill on time.
Before relocating to other city I dint paid the last month bill. After 2 years I received call to my new mobile number from Lok Adalat, Delhi saying a case is being registered on my name, referring to my Pune address.
Today I received second call and I denied my identity.
Usually I do not keep any debt on my name. As a habit, I pay all bills on time being credit card, Vodafone, bank loan etc.
I am sure that multiple cases must be registered similar to this one (speed) but why court is not asking back to Reliance to rectify the root cause?
Wanted to understand the seriousness of this case. They are still referring to my old address but new mobile number.
Best Regards
Rajesh

It is a mediation cum conciliatory proceeding. So if you do not turn up, no order would be passed against you.

Dear Devajyoti,
I wish, you understan the unethical tactics and tricks being used by the company's panel recovery agents and advocates, who often use several tricks in phone calls in the name of lok adalat, police or even not hesitating to say that warrant has been issued against the subscriber.

Mr. Rajesh,
It would be best for you to check privately if there is any case against you in any lok adalat or not.
I don't think any lok adalat intimates the defendant through phone calls. Better keep track of the phone number through which you receive phone calls. Investigate in whose name phone is registered.

You should check the genuineness of the call. It may be a fake call from recovery agents as advised by expert PS Dhingra ji. You may inquire your liability and if it is acceptable, pay the same as you have hired / used the services.
