Registered gpa in ec document

(Querist) 28 September 2013 This query is : Resolved
I am planning to buy a property from 'B' who has a registered General Power of Attorney given to him by 'A'. where 'A' is the real owner of this property. When I put an EC for 30 years there is no mention of this General Power being registered on B's
name by the Owner A.
Is is possible that the Encumberance Certificate given by TamilNadu government doesn't have the General Power of Attorney being registered on that property

where are you from ? you should confirm that GPA registered or not ? if you know well real owner than immediately cancel the GPA by A, thereafter you buy directly to him A.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 28 September 2013
GPA is not mentioned in EC so the question of its entry in that record do not arise, however, you should ensure by way of its certified copy to be obtained from the office of the registrar.
