Sir
I have purchased a shop in a society after taking NOC from the secretary of the society, but after purchase processor is over I filed all the relevant document with the society to obtain membership at that time society refused my application for membership for the ground the shop has some unauthorized changes in it done by prior to prior owner of that shop, I tried for membership for more then seven years and after that some expert suggested to file an appeal with registrar of the society and I got order for membership from the registrar.
My prayer in this matter is:-
I suffered for more then 7 years and could not use the shop for business and cannot give for leave and licence therefore it cause me big loss and mental harassment by the committee members of the society , so can I claim compensation from society or its office bearer and please guide me in which court or forum and how I can make my claim
Thanks and regards

if any unauhtorised alterations have been made by prior owner society is not bound to transfer shop in name of new owner .
in your case however society had issued NOC for transfer of the shop in your name .
since shop has been transferred in your name now forget the whole issue . even if you file suit for damages you will have to pay court fees and it will take years to be disposed of

You cannot go to consumer court because the time limit is only 2 years from the cause of action, which in your case expired long ago.
