hon sir,
school administration is not ready to refund fees against admission cancelled before school start. we had taken admission and paid school fees for pre primary school. but due to family reason we request school admn for cancel admission. our cancel request is before the school start, but school administration is not ready to give us refund. we paid half term fees which we want to get refund pl help me.

One part of whole payment that take as refundable money. So insist to get back that amount other wise you have to go to the consumer forum.

In general no school will refund the fees collected but with some pressures and influences you may get a part amount as refund, try through some influential source.

It is not the question whether your request for refund is before the school starts or not. If it is after the admissions are closed, the school will be in loss and will not refund. If it is before closure of admissions, you can represent to them that since they have admitted somebody else in place of your child, there is no loss for them to refund. For that all no educational institution will agree as they are the robbers of the middle class income. But this is a point to fight for. If somebody else is admitted in the place of your child, and if they do not heed your request for refund at least part of the fee, threaten them that you will take up the matter with consumer forum.

In the admission form itself it must be written that if you wish to get your child transferred to any other school how much is to be paid.
Refer to that.
At east every school i WB put such clause in the admission for itself.

issue legal notice to school . move consumer forum for necessary reliefs if school refuses refund . you have cancelled admission before the term started . school ought to sanction refund of fees

Send legal notice to school and if no action file case with consumer forum.

The atrocities by the school owners in the name of fees is a threatening menace which cannot be curbed by legal notices, legal action through consumer courts or any other mode because the owners are not law abiding people and will be ready to face all the situation for the sake of money, hence a polite approach may sometimes work to some extent.
