a tenant and landlord came to a compromise that the tenant will vacate the premises. landlord after constructing a building he will let a portion to the tenant, after the compromise memo tenant came to know that actually land belongs to a temple which is under the government and a suit has been initiated by a volunteer against the landlord challenging his ownership. now the execution petition by the land lord to vacate the tenant can be challenged on this grounds or not. please advice.

When the Land lord is facing a dispute of his ownership rights, in a suit and wherein his tenant have no right to claim the fulfillment of an obligation of his land lord in respect of a promise memo, any challenge made against the land lord, remains illegal.

There is no use in joining the dispute.Being a tenant, it is safe to quit the place.
