Dear Sirs,
My uncle-60 years of age has retired from his job a year back. His name, DOB in the records of the office which are submitted to the PF office and id card are different. The signature spelling is different. We have written to as well as visited the HR team of his office to get this issue settled, and also re-submitted the claim form to the PF Office many times, they are rejecting the application submitted. Kindly let us know what must be done to get his PF amount.

you submit the claim to PF office 50 times with wrong data the claim will be rejected 52 times.
It appears that you uncle kept working in the company the the company kept depositing PF with wrong name.
So the PF with correct name has never and never been deposited.
Please tell me if this correct?
I will not react further without this confirmation.

what was the reason for rejecting the application for settlement of the amount?, if the quoted reason is justified and can be rectified, you try doing it.

If you are not properly complying all the objections raised by the Department, It could not be processed further. So you need to submit the required documents with correct information, then only they will forward your application. Otherwise, no use of having hopes on your application for the release of PF amount. So better to approach a proper way with proper documents/information.

Thank you all for your replies.
He has informed the HR team to correct his name in the records. They have informed that it will not create any issues in the future. They also dont allow workers to meet the HR team to get any issue resolved.
Also his DOB given to the office is not matching the one with his Identity Proof. The PF team is also asking for a proof to know the correct DOB. My uncle don't have his SSLC Marks card. I dont have an idea if he has any other DOB id proof.
It is a huge amount what he has to receive.
He has also applied for Pension, which he has not received from quite sometime now.
Kindly suggest what to be done to get this issue resolved.

In the absence of proof of age/DOB , Medical Certificate issued by competent Civil Surgeon after examining the member medically and
supported with an affidavit on oath by the member duly authenticated by Competent Court.

Yes, you are right.
My uncle has informed about the name correction to be done in the office records, but they have informed him that its not a problem and will not create any issues in the future to get his pf and pension amount.

Normally write the letter by the employer is enough to the concern group of PF office to change the name in their record. Yes i agreed it is not difficult
