This query is : Resolved
If a plaintiff admits an unfavorable fact in his cross-examination. Then produces witness to negate the same. I working from the defense side wants to ask the effect of such unfavorable admittance and that how we can prove that the statement of plaintiff is of more credence than that of witnesses.

I understand the incompleteness of facts sir but, in general sense is there any scope of proving that the statement admitted by the main plaintiff should more relied upon than of the witnesses' .. which is provided only to negate the previously admitted statement.

Well Mr. Barman is right.
An off hand reply can be only this much that if fact involved is more likely to be known correctly by the plaintiff then his admission in cross is material. In case the fact is of such a nature that about which witness produced can better speak than plff.,then witness would be relied upon.
