Sir recently in Bihar my caste(tanti) get included into sc category, earlier it was in obc category. Can I apply in sc category in forth coming examinations of ibps and ssc? I am confused becz it was done by state govt. But in central list my caste is still in obc category.what should I do caste certifate to ek hi category ka banega na? Aisa to nahi ho sakta ki central government job k liye obc certificate produce kare aur state government k liye sc certificate??

any error by you might affect your chances of admission. if the examinations are conducted by state you could take SC position but if central exams you have work under OBC.
YOU SAY obc is the status till recently, so safer to claim OBC category only., is the advice i might advance.

You better adopt SC certificate only. Because though SC certificate is issued by the state govt, it is valid even for central government examinations. When anybody raises objection, show them the xerox copy of the G.O. by which you are included in SC category.

Obtain SC certificate first from the State Government and proceed as SC.

I may have to disagree with few experts.
State Govt has absolutely no power to declare any community as SC. SO this cre3tificate is of no consequence atleast for central jobs.
State govt can issue OBC certificate that too valid for central jobs.

I disagree with sudhir sir.
OBC is for backward class only. What you said is correct for BC candidates, but not for SC AND ST.
Whereas, for SC AND ST there is a special Act and the SC, ST cert will be issued by Tahasil only.

I have to add one thing. Even for OBC certificate also we have to apply in Tahasil only. Though it is related to central government reservation, the issuing authority is tahasil.
In short we can say that all the caste certificates will be issued by Tahasil only.

SC/ST certificate is also issued by Tehsil. No doubt.
But in that certificate they are referring to the notification of the central govt.
State Govt is not competent to notify any cast as SC/ST. They will issue certificate based on the list promulgated by central govt.
for BC the state govt can have its own list but such list is applicable only for jobs under that particular state.
