My friend wants to convert to Islam, he is a Christian by faith. What paper work is required? Will this affect his career?

It wl not affect his job.He has to fill up an application to the govt press with all necessary details and thereafter he should make arrangements to publish in the govt gazate about his conversation.

Career has, in the normal course, nothing to do with one's religion. Regarding conversion from one religion to another, in some States like Gujarat, M.P.,etc., there are local Statutes which mandate prior permission from the District Collector/competent Government authority and as such it is advisable to check up as whether such a requirement is applicable in the State concerned.

I agree with experts professing a religion do not affect career of a candidate.
