In Pune (Pimri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits)our society is having 28 residential Flats and Two commercial Shops, Out of them one shop owner, he is also chairman of Society, has rented his shop for wine shop/Liquor shop, without informing other society members, Our society is located on Highway (Pune - Nashik State Highway)
My questions are,
whether it is legal ?
How can we close the shop ?
what are the rules regulations for wine shops running in rented premises ?
whether the residents of society can make application to collector or Police to shift the shop from society ?
what are the restrictions on the shop owner while opening liquor shop ?
to know more about it which Act/Rules shall i refer ?

Certainly, the liquor shop could be having a valid permit. You may ascertain under RTI whether the permit has been granted after following the due procedure.

1. Any operation of illegal shop of liquor would happen is doubtful.
2. You can demand, rest depend on the circumstances and pressure from your side.
3. Use RTI to get information from the department. Broadly landlord and tenant intention and acceptance is required.
4. They can approach with written application.
5. What type of restriction are you referring?
6. Can refer to state excise policy and also use RTI to get information.
