Extent difference in Patta and Legal documents

(Querist) 28 July 2010 This query is : Resolved
For a Property (Land), the total extent in legal documents is 1862 Sq.ft, whereas in Patta it is 1.5(Are).
As far as I understand 1(Are)= 1076 Sq.ft.
So total extent should be 1.73(Are), Is this difference acceptable. Is the extent mentioned in Patta a rounded off value
Chanchal Nag Chowdhury (Expert) 29 July 2010
If the Title documents show 1862, U will have to go by it. U may apply for correction of Patta.
There is no scheme for rounding off entries in Patta.
