I would like to share and need help my friend in my bad times in year 2007/8 by giving amount from local financier and taking only signed cheques frm me regularly I used to pay interest as I get money I used to pay to my friend he pays to financer and got my cheques but he didn't return to me as this process went I came to known that the amount which I took was actually given by friend not by financiers he was taking money on their name for 4 yrs I told him return my cheques and papers as I have to pay u 50 thousand only u have my 12 cheques he told all xyz and showed me balance as 1.2 lac I shouted on me and I too replied know he has bounced 4 cheques and sent me legal notice in which he states he has given amount in 2011 plz help me..I am ready to pay 50.thousand.

have you reapid your friend by cash or cheque ? if by cash have you obtained any receipt from your friend regarding repayment . ask your friend to furnish staement of account as to how rs 1. 20 lakhs is payable

No receipt sir as he is my friend but some cheque payments by cheque.3 yrs ago he has send me a legal notice what should I do.

Fight the case and try to prove that there is no liability upon you or the cheques were security cheques.

The cheques which I have given him is issued in 2007 and my account was closed in 2009 by bank people only .if I get a letter from bank that my a/c was closed in year 2009 and reply to legal notice stating that my frnd keept my cheques as security deposit and I have account statement in his writing on white paper without his signature... plz help I am innocent...any lawyer in Hyderabad
