False dowry and murder case

Hi
this I am from bihar. I need suggestion on a case.
one of my neighboring family whose daughter-in-law has died due to some illness and then bride's family and groom's family (my neighbour also relative) had some dispute over marriage gifts.the bride's family wanted it all the things back from groom's family. so they called village panchayat to settle down the matter. After a long discussion in the panchayat and according to muslim rules panchayat told the bride's family you can take gifts back only if you produce some documents from islamic scholor that allows you.
but bride's family has registered a fake dowry and murder case against groom's family and those people who was in that panchayat.
my father who was also there allegedly is a part of conspiracy.
Now even groom's family wanted to compromise on their condition but they are demanding high amount

Collect the copy of FIR from Police Station or Court and then ask your father and also victim persons to file a Quashing Petition in High Court.

The bride's family is entitled to take back all the streedhan and panchayat members have resisted the same on pretext that does not sustain in the eye of law.
criminal matters are not subject to personal law.
