Hello!
My opponent submitted a writ petition at High Court, but due to lethargy or some other reason, he never visited the state capital to sign on the documents. The writ now stands dismissed on some other grounds.
I caught hold of the copy of affidavit which was on court's file & found that his signatures are visibly different from his original ones.
Can I corner him somehow? Plz advise whether Sec 420 or some other weapon against him?

You have to give a complaint before the high court registrar. But you have to understand one thing, unless the opponent party denies his signature you can't prove your complaint. And more over he need not to be visit your high court for put his signature. Because he may affix his signature at anywhere in front of an advocate.

you have plan to get engaged in a matter which is not expected to result in your favor except that it will cost your time money and energy.
Better forget it even if your guess is correct. After all you stand winner as he has already lossed the case in high court againt you which he admits he filed. In case he admits your version that it was not he who filed the case then high court will proceed against the advocate concern and not against him, and suppose limitation with respect to cause is still there then he will file a fresh case, can not he??

Thax a ton experts!
What I gather is that -- if opponent says that yes, these are my signatures, I can not push the case against him. So better take back my thoughts to corner him in this issue!

If he agrees that the signatures contained on the affidavit were of hiw own, you can't do anything. Moreover, some people use more than one signature for different purposes.
Since you have already won the cae, do you feel any utility in reopening of the matters, which can create some problem for you even.
