Family planning

(Querist) 28 March 2014 This query is : Resolved
Dear sir
I am working in a central govt organisation. i have done family planning in the year 2008. but that particular time i was unaware the rules of increment in the salary after family planning. now i aware about the rule and i applied for montly increment in my salary. but my authority refused by saying that it is now too late. sir, is there any rule that after late applying i can not get the benifit of family planning?

It is too late. It is presumed that you have foregone the claim. As of my knowledge, it should be claimed within one year. There is no provision for condonation of delay.
You are expected to know the rules of your service; ignorance is no excuse.

make one more representation to higher ups, and if they still deny, move CAT with the help of an advocate.

The CAT may consider your request as the benefit accrued under a social legislation cannot be easily taken away on technical grounds.

Go through your service rules, if there is no time limit to claim, refer the provision.

If on again representation, no result, approach CAT.
