Your father's self acquired property shall be devolved between you and your late sister in equal shares i.e. 1/2 share to you and 1/2 share to your late sister. As she is no more, her share will be devolved between her children equally as their father is also no more.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 29 July 2024
The property left behind by your deceased father, upon his intestate death shall devolve on all his legal heirs including the legal heirs of the deceased legal heirs.
Thus, you will be entitled to half share in the property (if you are a Hindu by religion) and another half share in the property shall devolve on the children of your sister's children as the successors in interest of their mother's intestate estates
Advocate Bhartesh goyal Online (Expert) 30 July 2024
Yes, As per Succession Law , you will get 1/2share of your deceased father's property and rest 1/2 share will go to your sister's children.
