filed divorce on basis of desertion

1. I got married on 8th February 2006 My Husband left for London 27th February 2006 he left for London. Thereafter for few months he kept in touch with me Gradually the contact became less and six months later there was no news from him He did not disclose to me nor any inclination about whereabouts nor has he addressed any single letter to
2. So I filed for divorce on basis of desertion but now the judge is asking me for proof about his whereabouts and and his mother and Lawyer are trying but he refused to send me even a power of Attorney letter too
3. Would like to know if there a easy way out

Approach the Ministry of External Affair and British High Commission for this purpose.

u can file the application with duly sworn affidavit that u only know the last address of his which should be ur matrimonial home and then u can also made an application for serving ur hausband with alternative procedure like publication in national daily and he can be tried exparty

The plaintiff/ petitioner is required t furnish the address of the opposite party which she knows to be his actual address. Now if the summons could not be served on that address then making paper publication is another option. But getting a proof of his actual habitat is beyond the purview of the ld . judge.

You can request the court for serving your hausband with alternative procedure like publication.
