Hello Sir,
My dad owns a property at Delhi belonging to DDA. His brother has stolen the property documents and is now claiming that he has managed to forge all the documents and transferred the property on his name.
And is now trying to sell off the property.
1) Is it possible to forge the documents after stealing like this ?
2) What case can we file on my uncle ?
3) what is the punishment for this kind of offence ?

1. First you give a Paper Advertisement/Caution Notice to the General Public stating that "Not to Purchase the property" and also state the further facts.
2. If you confirmed that your Dad's brother has stolen the property documents and further proposing for alienation of the property, your Dad can lodge a complaint before the concerned police against his brother, for his acts.

Thanks a lot for your valuable reply..
My father is a little vary of lodging a police complaint or to go to court to solve this as he says that the property will go on a dispute which will last for many years.
Will we have to invest many years in court in such a clear fraud case as well ?

First file complaint as advised by Expert Mr. Balasubrahmanyam ji. After that, your own counsel guide you and if necessary you may pray the court for early disposal.
