Forgery,cheating,impersonation

(Querist) 08 March 2012 This query is : Resolved 
Respected Sirs,The prosecution has produced a set of documents in a case under trial for S 419,420,467,468,471,etc.However my handwriting was never obtained for checking by forensic experts nor does ay witness testifies that the writing or signatures that appear on the documents produced are mine.Please tell me what is the worth of the documents produced as evidences.

prosecution has to prove case for cheating , forgery , fabrication of documents .

since we have not gone therough the documents we cannot say the effect of said documents

Dear Mr.Prakash,

Your answer lies in Section 73 of Indian Evidence Act according to which it is the descretion of the presiding officer to either take help of a forensic expert or after comparison forms his own opinion.
