Free transport to school going children of employees.

In power grid corporation of India free transport facility to school going children of employees is provided by the employer i.e. POWERGRID kindly provide information whether such transport facility to children of employee is tax free or not and if it is taxable then kindly provide under which section of IT act

Dear Mr. Shailender,
You have to indicate the following:
1. Whether you are from Administration side or an employee of PowerGrid Corp.?

2. If employee, have you availed the facility of such transport for your child(ren)?

3. If so, whether any tax has been deducted from you?

4. If so, then have you asked your Salary paying authority as to under which provision they are treating the same as income in your hands?
