Is it not necessary to specify the particulars of the immovable properties for which GPA is being given. Or can it be written in general that all immovable properties in Hyderabad or Bangalore.

The necessity is not of law but of party here.
Any of the option thought for would be valid.
The requirement of law is here only that such confirmation of right should be by a registered POA instrument only.

If the GPA is to be registered then it is mandatory describe the properties in the Schedule of the deed.
If it is notarised then it may not be described there. However to remove any future complications it is always advisable to describe the details of the properties.

if it is written in general all immovebale properties in bangalore and hyderbabd then when you go in for registartion you will face problems as no description of property is mentioned in GPA . always have precise particulars mentioned as to the property in respect of which GPA is given
