My father was doing bricks dealing business. He purchased bricks from manufacturers on credit without any bill. He could not pay because he was cheated by one of his customer. These manufacturers gave complaint on my father. So gave them in writing that he will pay in 2 instalments. now also he could not pay. Now the police is going to file suit on my father. what will be the impact? please explain me.

Your father may face criminal case for 420 IPC or may face civil suit for recovery of money. Consult with the lawyer and try to avoid the such situation.

Dear Sasikumar,

Can you please clarify, why do you or your father feel that the bricks manufacturer should bear loss of your father's business on account of cheating by your father's own customer? If your father purchased the bricks from the manufacturer, he was liable to pay for the same. Still it is time to settle with the manufacturer by paying his dues.
