(Querist) 08 September 2014 This query is : Resolved
Sir/Madam,

Can a General Power of Attorney be executed by a person for his land jointly in the name of two persons? E.g: Can A, land owner, (First Party/Executor) execute a GPA jointly in favour of B & C (Attorneys) in one deed of General Power.

Regards,
Santanu.

Mr. Ram Kumar wants to sell his landed property. He has to go on a prolonged medical treatment outside the state and therefore he cannot execute a sale transaction.

He has two sons Mr. Ravi Kumar & Mr. Rohan Kumar. He wants to entrust the responsibility to sell his landed property jointly to both of his sons Rave & Rohan.

Can he execute a General Power of Attorney in favour of both Ravi & Rohan in one single deed? So that, neither Ravi nor Rohan can act to the exclusion of the other and take any unfair advantage?
