my cousin has a share in joint family property which he wants to gift to his father, his father's wife and his wife as three donees through one single gift deed? how much stamp duty and registration charges would be required to be paid for this inter family gifting?? the property is situated in malabar hill area mumbai.

is it necessary to hire a lawyer to do registration ... i believe we could do it ourselves?? coz lawyers in malabar hill area charge hefty sums ...

Stamp duty differ from State to State, it has to be inquired either from Some local lawyer or Registration office. Latest Stamp Act may also be referred. Preferably get the gift deed vetted from some professional.
After it you may get it registered.
