(Querist) 30 December 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hello brothers wish you all a very happy New year. One of my client is detained at borstal school. He is now aged about 20 years. Police had foisted several cases against him and other co-accused. The other accused are above 21years . I had learned that police is planning to detain them under ACT XIV. Whether a person aged below 21years can be detained under goondas. Pl clarify. Give some related judgments.

A person aged 20 is not a juvenile. Try to meet the issue on merits in the eventuality of the Act being evoked.
