Sir,
My uncle the owner of a property executed a GPA in 2002 for the development of the property on a said attorney. The same after collecting the money from the purchasers had absconded without intimation.
A notice intimation the cancellation of GPA had been intimated to the attorney by redg post ack due but was returned as the sd attorney absconded.
Now my uncle intends to cancel the GPA as he intends to sell his portion of the peppery, but unfortunately the attorney is not traceable since 2003.
Can he cancel the GPA individually at the ROR? What is the procedure?
Pl guide.
Thanks.

Yes GPA can be revoked by the principal solely without the consent or present of the constituted attorney.

I agree with expert Mr. Devajyoti Barman, validity of GPA is during the pleasure of the principal, which can recalled/revoked any time by the Principal.
However, intimation to that effect shall avoid any confusion qua withdrawal of authority/attorney granted to the attorney. If attorney is not tracable, inform area Sub-Registrar as well as general public by publication.
