This query is : Resolved
I want clarification that Ministry of Finance had upgraded grade pay of 4600 in place of 4200 for pre revised scales of Rs 5000-8000, 5500-9000 and 6500-10500 by the 6th CPC vide para 2.2.21(v) duly accepted and notified vide gazette notification dated 29/08/2008 and OM dated 13/11/2009. Since I am in the pre revised scale of 5000-8000 whether I am eligible for grade pay of 4600.. please advice.. Regards

Have you claimed / if so, what was the reply?
From the given facts, you seem to be entitled.

The 6th CPC was implemented 9 years ago. Your awakening after 9 years, when 7th CPC recommendations have also been implements, clearly reveals that the query does not relate to your personal problem, rather is merely of an academic nature.
However, if it is really a personal problem, was there any specific reason for not taking any action on that issue.
Secondly, was there any specific reason that you opted for only the old pay scale, not for the revised pay scale as introduced by the 6th CPC?
Thirdly, have you at any time taken up the issue with your department. If so, what response you have received?
Please reply these question to enable me to advise you appropriately, if there is any reality in your description.

Mr. Jigyasu,
If he preferred to sleep over his problem for the last 9 years, I am sure, now he will sleep over your questions also. Even if he replies your question, he will still have to sleep again on the problem for an indefinite period.

Higher grade pay had been granted in certain pay scales where pre-revised pay scale was higher than 5000-8000. As you were in the pay scale of 5000-8000, you were entitled for GP 4600.

Venu ji,
If he has not opted for the revised scale, as per the provisions of the 6th CPC, will he even then be entitled to the stated GP of the revised pay scale along with/ in addition to his old pay scale?

I would also like to learn, what Mr. Dhingra has asked about the admissibility of GP in addition to pay fixation in old scale without GP.
The question arises, are we striking our head unduly, when the querist has not come forward with the history of the case as well as his efforts to take up his case with his employer and their response? The irony is, the querist is still silent and has not come forward with clarification to the doubts raised by me and indirectly by Mr. Dhingra also.
