Granddaughter's right

Thank you very much sir.By the law of mutation, my father became whole owner of that property, if this status is correct,I think he can sell or gift or what ever he wants he can do. on the other side I am his daughter (not his sister.)Only Hindu succession act, by the amendment, granted daughter's equal share over father's property. it is not clear in the Indian succession act.keeping the above points in view,please suggest me how should I proceed.
sir, As per the muncipal records, the property is still on the grandfathers name.but got registered in registrars office in the year 1999.
