Gratuity Eligibility

Dear All,

Please help me I have joined ICICILOMBARD on 16-02-2011 and I have put down my papers on 31 July 2015 so I have been asked to served notice period of 45 days my last day of working will be 15-09-2015. I have mailed my HR for Gratuity Eligibility they have mailed me stating that Gratuity is not applicable to you since you have not completed 5yrs.I will be completing 4.8yrs with ICICILOMBARD.Please suggest the way forward. Will I be eligible for Gratuity if yes what should I do? Since I have left over with only 4 days now.

The office/Div where you work operated for 6days/week or less than that?

Count yourself from DOJ-LWD.

First count 4 years. Take care of no. of days in leap year.

Then count no. of days from 4th year to LWD.

How did you calculate the period as 4Y8M!
