Sir,
As i worked as Deputy Manager Systems. joined on 10th August 2005 till 18th Feb 2012.
The total numder of years worked is 6 years
6 months 8 days.
My basic was Rs. 14750 /-
I recived only Rs. 51973 /-
As per the Act i should recived more than that.
Please help me in this regard.

According to you, please indicate how much you are entitled to? What is the basis for your calculation?

Calculation: W x Y x 15/26 where W = Last Wage drawn i.e., basic + DA
Y = number of completed years of continuous service (six months or less to be ignored and more than six months to be counted as full year.
15 = 15 days salary
26 = No. of working days in a month.
14750*7*15/26= 59,567 .. as per the calculation ..

Dear Mr. Hegde,
Why do you take 26 days why it cannot be 30 days?
If you take 30 days and work out, it comes to around Rs. 51625/-

MR ANIRUDH, GIVE PROFESSIONAL REPLIES, REFER THE PAYMENT OF GRATUITY ACT S.4 Explanation THERETO: In the case of a monthly rated employee, the fifteen days wages shall be calculated by dividing the monthly rate of wages last drawn by him by twenty-six and multiplying the quotient by fifteen.
YOUR QUERY TO THE QUERIST IS ABSURD "Why do you take 26 days why it cannot be 30 days?"

You can file a case with the Asst.Commissioner of Labour who is the controlling Authority.Issue Form I claiming the balance of Gratuity.If not complied with,file the case.You can collect the balance with interest till the date of Payment.
