My son at USA booked under ASSAULT ON FAMILY MEMBER under false complaint by my daughter-in-law who have been married 3 months back in INDIA. Arranged marriage only.Please guide in the matter.Now the inlaws at India threatening us i,e father & mother of arrest etc., When my son/daughter in law staying at USA fights in what way parents at India can be harassed? Kindly guide us as we not have much resources to fight with inlaws of my son who are wealthy with good local connections.

If the case if false filed in USA, law at that place would teach her a good lesson.
If she lodges any complaint of domestic violence in India, consult local lawyer and proceed for anticipatory bail.

The local law in US will take care of the problem and your son has to engage an advocate in that place.
As regards the threats of girl's parents/relatives unless she files a case in India, you cannot be implicated in the case. Even if she files 498a in India, the police cannot arrest you without proper investigation as per the latest Supreme Court decision.
What are the reasons for their fighting? Have you involved in suggesting your son for fighting?

Reasons:Marriage not consumed so far 4 months of marriage.For silly reasons they fight.Even if he touches her with love, takes hand kiss she provokes in absurd language & disturbs him frueqently during JOB FROM HOME DUTIES.She has broken 60 inches TV, Scanner, tore his T shirts etc., Feels like she is mentally unsound though she just passed out Dental course fron
India.AS she cannot file in India CAN HER PARENTS FILE ANY CASE AGIANST US INDIA?

Even if they attempt to file, they will not succeed. When your hands are clean why do you worry too much? Find out solution for your son's problem. Maintain equanimity during difficult times, so that you can find some solution to the core problem.

Your son should file divorce case against her in US. In most of states in US there is no fault divorce, it would be very easy to get divorce there.

Her parents do not hold substantial grounds to lodge police complaint against you while she is staying at US. Infact it is she who was to lodge a complaint and not her parents. However, since her parents are reported to be influential, they may grease the palms of corrupt police officials and may try to get you arrested on some other false cases too, hence keep a watch on their moments in this regard, in case of any suspicious activity, you should first approach a good lawyer and get AB before attending the police station on a summon for inquiry.
