Harassemnt by icici bank recever agent

i was using icici credit card. and the the principal amount due is 23000 . Three years has been passed , now i am being harassed by their agent .i am ready to settle the amount @10000.but theey are insisting on higher amount which is not possible for me to arrange. they are calling my my neighbours threating them , insulting my parents .
what can i do...where should i complain and what is the procedure so this harassment should be stop. can i make complain to local police station

file police complaint against recovery agents.
if principal amount is 23,000 then with interest dues must be over rs 50 ,000 as bank charges 3%per month on outstanding dues . contact a local lawyer

Recovery agents are banned to harass the credit card holder by order of the RBI.
However, any more delay in clearing the outstanding can continue to add heavy interest amount every month on the principal amount.
So, better contact some expert for solution to your problem by giving him complete detail of the outstanding and harassment instances to him.

U have to arrange payment. However, report to the police against the bank for the illegal harassment.

Dear Querist,
Lodging a police complaint is of no use as every police station receives their monthly mamool from these agents.Only option with you and to escape the harrasment is to serve a legal notice to the bank and the recovery agency.Engage an experienced lawyer who is well versed in credit cards and loans.

Best under such circumstances is call the ICICI guys, most likely they will settle with principle amount + small interest, which is very fair.
If you file police complaint, not much shall be availed from your side, but later on after prolonged legal fight on the civil side of the matter, you will end up paying much more.
