Harassment from a society member.

Hi,
I have been staying in my Co-Operative Housing Society since last 4 years and also a managing committee member of the said society. I use to carry out all accounts and other sundry works of the society with no charge, as i feel that if i am a learned man then i can help my society becoming a better place to live.
However, a old person is so jealous of me that he had stopped talking with me and even abuses me indirectly in front of all without taking my name. Also he passes lewd comments in my respect. I don't understand how to deal with this man? Can i lodge a police complaint against this man? I don't have any proof which can prove that he had done it.
PLEASE HELP!!!

You personally meet him and respectfully ask his problem with you and thus amicably you can solve your problem and if need so take some other society resident with you who may be well known of both of you.

the whole soceity is fedup of this man. I had done all the said suggesstions but he is a screw. Now the only way i understood to take help of law thus, raised a request. Kinldy suggesst.

Many social evils are roaming around us.As opined by Partha,just ignore the silly behaviour,since it may add stress on you. Normally dogs stop barking as soon as the object disappears from sight.

you should give him some responsiblities in your society . his problem seems to be that he is retired and has no work . offer him your position in the society as managing committee member and resgin in his favour .
when he realises how much hard work goes in management of society he will become your ardent fan
