Very often it is seen in media that the face of the accused persons are covered i.e not exposed to camera. Is there any case law directing police to conceal face of an accused before public/media?

Firt of all yours is an academic query that does not warrant any reply without discussion of the actual nature of problem that too yours own.
Secondly, please don't mind, I pose a question on you, if you are charged with murder or rape, but you would not have committed any such act, would you like your identity to be telecast world over as a criminal while later on you atre proved to be not guilty after completion of all the legal processes in your case?

It is mainly for the Purpose of Identification by Witnesses. If they were exposed before Identification the advocate of accused might argue Witnesses were created.
