hiding of mother by daughter s from son

Sir the mother of my friend who was 65 of age and awidow was staying alone in her own residence who is also a pension holder.
before 5 months the mother was taken by daughters with them without knowledge and consent of son and in spite of various try daughter s didn't allow the son to meet or contact even by telephone.before 2 days it comes to the knowledge of son that his mother was admitted in a hospital in a critical condition and it was not informed to him.the son got the information that his mother was physically tortured by her daughter s and son in laws.
Now I dont understand what to suggest my friend.
