Hours of work for drivers working in the factory

Dear All,

I need clarification as to which law is applicable for drivers who are working in the factory through contractor
Factories Act 1948 or Motor Transport Workers Act 1961 or Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and what are the provision for working hours of drivers

Once work for factory, they are covered under FA.
Any work over and above 9 hrs a day or 48 hrs a week attract overtime/ extra time as per std order/ settlements.

Depends upon the contract / terms of appointment. Since the employment is through contractor, the company would observe its terms of hiring services from the contractor, any difference of opinion in any working hours would be dealt with the contractor legally and the Company would not accept any responsibility in this regard.
