I was on rent 9000/- @ for last one year.He had taken 3 months rent in advance.I v intimated to him to leave before one month.So rest 18000/- is with him.Now he is telling not to return any money in the name of painting.But actually nothing happened to the wall.I told him U ask any mediator if he tells then i am ready to give.But he is reluctant becoz he knows the outcome. Now what can i do against him.He is not giving any rent receipt nor his PAN.So can i intimate income tax dept reg him,not paying the tax. and how can I claim my tax benefit.

Going to Income Tax department for this will not fetch a good result.

Seek the help of reputed and respected people of both of you and seek an amicable remedy.

Even going to Police also will not be result oriented and some times the expense could be more than what is due.

As suggested by Raj Kumar try to go by amicable settlement involving neutral and respectable elders of both sides. Else file a police complaint.Or inform Income Tax Department.

Approach your own very able senior LOCAL counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in rent/civil matters and having successful track record ….. and worth his/her salt …and discuss in person and even with seasoned PIP and proceed in best of your interest.. ASAP. For such counsels; Check at LOCAL Civil Courts, HC, The necessary action is to be taken by you and your lawyer.
