Housing society maintenance cahrges

(Querist) 11 February 2014 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir.
I have 2, 1BHK flats adjacent having one common main door ,each in name of my parent,
In society we have 2 & 3 BHK flat also. For general maintenance charge, they charge the same flatwise ,irrespective of area. Sir as we have one single common door, can we ask the society to charge general maintenance as per one flat as we are not using nor enjoying double services of society.

Thanks and Regards to all

No, you can not.
Since it is two flat , you have to pay for two flats only.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 11 February 2014
Yes. I agree with Mr.Barman.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 11 February 2014
There is no reason the society should charge for one flat only when two flats exist.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 13 February 2014
I agree with the experts opinion.
