how can i get back my (stridhan) the gifts

Dear Sir,
I have been married at the year of 1979 Feb. At time i was gifted with gold jewellery from my parents and in-laws. But since my marriage my inlaws didnt give my gifts to me. Now they have even secretly transferred the ancestral property to one of his son only. So kindly please help me how i and my husband get back the gifts of my marriage time and the properties.

initialy send a legal notice to them with all the details of the articles in their custody demanding their return.if they do not respond positively,lodge a criminal complaint with the police.

Yes if amicably the issues does not settle then you have to file a case for criminal breach of trust or theft under section 406 or 379 of ipc.

Sir Thanks for the reply. But sir i dont have any proof only some relatives who were present at the time of the marriage. In the year there was no video or color photography available. So will it be possible that they will return me. If i suit a case file among them.Sir kindly please reply me soon.
