How to find out which legislation will govern

Hi respected experts,
am at final stage of my chartered accountancy course, mostly i will have the knowledge of Income tax act, Goods and service act, customs law, Companies act ,FEMA act, SEBI regulations etc.
but various business sectors will be governed by various central and state acts.
if i got new client in diff sector like chit fund business or co-operative sector like that...
how i will get the information that,,, which act will govern that particular business.... since we have more than thousand act...
kindly help me in this regard .....

Dear Sir,
There is no jacket formula to say that which subject matter attracts which enactment. Sometimes one single subject matter will be dealt by different enactments. It seems you are new to the field and require more and more practical experience. You will get experience only when you work with experienced Senior and also appears before Courts and Tribunals.

Why not asked your own teachers? When you don't know ABC of other laws, how you would like to justify taking up cases of of your clients in different sectors, when you are already aware of existence of more than thousand Acts?
