How to inform purchased plot to department

Guest (Querist) 31 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I purchased a empty plot (for construction of Home)from a private Housing company and got registration in my name in 2011. The source of money was not with me at the time of purchasing. I borrowed total money from 3 of my relatives with their local interest .
Now i am repaying little by little to relatives. In this situation, i did not informed to my department and i would like to inform to my department after one year.
My question is .. Is any disciplinary action may be taken to me for not informing in advance or is any mandatory to inform in advance with source.?

Although you have not stated so you appear to be Govt servant

You were not required to inform in advance if the transaction of purchase and loan was not with any person with whom you have official relations (including your official subordinate and higher officer. No action can be taken.

You were required to intimate the transaction within one month and belated intimation can also be allowed by the department. Or they can take action as well.

This is the positin if you are central Govt (including UT) employee. The rules may or may not be similar if you are employed in State Govt/local boady/ PSU/ Autonomous body.

It would depend upon the organization where you are working.

But prior to purchase no information is required to be given.

Dear Kuggmari,

Your question is incomplete, as you have not made a mention of your department, individual amount of transactions of each loan from relatives and the transaction cost of plot you acquired. Although from some other of your posts it reveals that you are an employee of CISF, but still you have not made a mention whether you belong to which of the Central Government Employees Groups (A to D) and also whether Central Government Rules apply on CISF or they have their own set of Rules about employees conduct and discipline.

If the Central Government Rules are applicable, Mr. Sudhir is right in his advice, but still amount of each transaction of loan matters much as per your category of employees.

However, you may require to submit two different intimations on the prescribed forms 1 & 2 in respect of immovable property (plot) and movable property (loan) to your department under the provisions of Rules 18(2) and 18(3) of the CCS (Conduct) Rules 1964. Please read the complete set of CCS (Conduc) Rules carefully, as those may have to be observed throughout your service.
