my sister daughter married to a brhiman boy
she belongs to sheduile tribe,husband died recently,she his having one child.
in feature her son will be benifited from govt in ST quote.or not

her mother willing to apply for govt jobs wether she must mention in ST caterigeor or not.kindly advise.

Mother will belong to Scheduled tribe only
Son will also belong to scheduled tribe only since the father passed away.

A child is considered to be holding the caste of his father though there is no hard and fast rule.
A child may get the caste of the mother if it is found that from the very childhood he is reared by the mother.

on this website only I have seen a case of one brother and sister landing in jail simply because they got ST certificate based on mother's cast.

So child need to at this age be initiated into fraud.
